Swingtime Australia is excited to bring together two of the Worlds Best Balboa Teachers, Sylvia Sykes and Marty Lau, for an exclusive All Balboa Weekend in Sydney. These two are featured teachers at most Balboa Festivals around the world, and are equally excited to come to Sydney together to share their talent and passion for Balboa with Sydney Dancers.
This weekend is an amazing opportunity to taste this wonderful, exciting and not to mention addictive dance. We are committed to growing the Balboa scene in Sydney therefore we will be offering a Beginner level on Saturday to get everyone a really great foundation. On Sunday we will move things up a notch as we take Balboa to an intermediate level to really give the Balboa dancers the push that they have been waiting for.
Saturday 24th - BEGINNERS Level - If you're new to Balboa or you would like to give your basics a real polish up, then this is the class for you. They will start from scratch and work their way through the essential balboa moves. It's a great chance to lay down the fundamentals of this dance. If you already dance Balboa then we encourage you to participate in the beginners level, it's a fantastic chance to refine what you know and take advantage of all the awesome tips that they will be giving out to get your basics looking great.
10am -12.30pm ................. Morning session
1.30pm - 4pm ....................... Afternoon session
Sunday 25th - INTERMEDIATE Level - Ok so your basics are solid and you want to be pushed up another rung on the Balboa ladder? Then this is the class for you! An exciting chance to learn all those things that you've seen the great bal dancers doing in all the clips you've been watching! They will be dishing up lots of exciting moves and concepts to make you look fantastic on the floor.
